Tina Hauptner Darcy
Tina is a partner at Howard & O’Brien Executive Search. Tina experienced Howard & O’Brien’s unique approach to executive search as a client, and decided to join the team to utilize her wide-ranging experience and wealth of knowledge in the executive search arena. Tina’s prior industry experience helps her relate well to clients and candidates alike, blending the art of inquiry, listening, character and knowledge to help ensure optimum fit in all her searches. Her successes are tied directly to a thorough and comprehensive assessment of candidates. She is focused in her efforts to identify important cultural dynamics in her clients’ organizations to ensure positive results and a perfect long term fit.
On behalf of her clients, Tina identifies well qualified candidates for senior leadership positions, specializing in human resources, general management, legal, and finance functions. While effectively working at all levels, she is particularly adept and accomplished with vice president through C-suite level assignments.
Tina’s career includes over two decades of experience in human resources, having progressed through the ranks to executive level roles across a range of industries including healthcare, financial services, retail, supply chain, and consulting. She began her career at University Hospitals of Cleveland which led to leadership positions in human resources with KeyCorp and Jo-Ann Stores, Inc. Prior to joining Howard & O’Brien, Tina held the most senior human resource position as Vice President of Human Resources at Brulant, Inc. Tina’s background as an active business partner across public and private companies of various sizes helps her see and respond to talent issues through the lens of the business executive she’s committed to serve.
In addition to her professional roles, Tina is active in the community most recently serving as vice-chair of the board of directors for the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park where she also chaired the Human Resources Committee. She has also served on the boards of Project Learn of Summit County and Tri-County JOG (now Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates).
Tina earned her BS in business administration from Bowling Green State University.
